JOIN OUR TEAM

VOLUNTEER WITH REFUGEE WOMEN’S CENTRE

The Refugee Women’s Centre is run by a small core staff of Coordinators and a team of vital long-term volunteers on the ground. We work in an all-female team of up to fourteen volunteers. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from gender-non-conforming people, non-binary people and trans women. Our team is supported by past volunteers, remote part-time staff and board members off-site who are in daily contact.

As part of the team, volunteers need to respond to ever-changing situations in a fast-paced environment. Due to this precarious context, it is necessary to be adaptable and resilient. Activities vary each day but may include distributing material aid, connecting people with professional services, case work – including supporting women who have experienced SGBV – and/or running psychosocial activities, to name a few.

We are constantly welcoming new volunteers in our team!

We are looking for women or non-binary people from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. You should be at least 21 years of age and available for 2 months minimum, speak French and/or English and be able to obtain a DBS check or a relevant criminal record check. Due to the mobile nature of our support, we are always looking for volunteers who hold a valid manual driving licence and are comfortable driving.

On top of these general requirements, we can always use team members who have:

IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT FOR OUR TEAM, PLEASE COMPLETE OUR SHORT APPLICATION FORM, HERE:

We understand that it is not always possible for people to volunteer on the ground. However, if you would like to support the RWC and have other skills to offer, such as advocacy, fundraising and visual content, we would love to hear from you.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email at:
